At Medita Clinic, endocrinologist Dr Moonika Pärt-Ambos and pediatric endocrinologist Dr Aleksandr Peet are available. 

A pediatric endocrinologist broadly deals with the diagnosis and treatment of hormonal disorders in children and adolescents. Hormonal imbalances can manifest in many different ways. The most common issues involve either a deficiency of a specific hormone (such as insulin deficiency in type 1 diabetes) or an excess (such as an overabundance of thyroid hormones in hyperthyroidism).

Dr Peet specializes in diagnosing and treating hormonal disorders such as growth disorders in children, early or delayed puberty, thyroid diseases, adrenal and pituitary disorders, and childhood obesity. As a pediatric diabetologist, Dr Peet primarily focuses on type 1 diabetes. The treatment of this disease in children and adolescents has long involved various glucose sensors and insulin pumps, and Dr. Peet has extensive experience in managing these diabetes technologies.

Dr Peet welcomes children and young people up to the age of 25 for consultations, as well as adult patients who require guidance on using glucose sensors and insulin pumps.

Doctors

Dr Aleksandr Peet studied at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tartu and completed his pediatric residency in 2009. Professionally, Dr Peet specializes in the fields of pediatric diseases and endocrinology. In 2015, he defended his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Tartu.

Dr Peet is a member of the Estonian Medical Association, the Estonian Society of Endocrinology, and the Estonian Pediatric Society.

Dr Moonika Pärt-Ambos has studied in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Tartu.  Principal job of Dr Pärt-Ambos is Physician in Medita Clinic.

Dr Pärt-Ambos appointments are on Mondays and Wednesdays.
