Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy focuses on achieving, maintaining or restoring maximum movement, reducing pain, preventing injuries or disabilities and/or restoring function.

During physiotherapy, the disturbed functions of the patient's musculoskeletal system and other organ systems are restored using physical exercises, soft tissue therapy and physical therapy (for example, cold and heat therapy, electric therapy, etc.).

Myofunctional therapy is not performed in the Medita Clinic.

We provide physiotherapy services to adult patients.
The physiotherapists of Medita Clinic in Tartu are Arabella Kiting, Gregor Pruunsild, Triin Nõmmistu, Panainti Posmatš and Liina-Mari Roolaht.

The physiotherapists of Medita Clinic in Tallinn are Kristina Pähkel, Marit-Jenna Vorho and Darja Izjumova. 

Physiotherapist Triin Nõmmistu has graduated from the University of Tartu in 2006 with a degree in physiotherapy and obtained a master's degree in public health from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden in 2013, specializing in nutrition and physical activity.

Physiotherapist Nõmmistu specializes in pelvic floor physiotherapy, and welcomes adult women of various ages who have problems with urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, bowel function disorders, and diastasis. Triin Nõmmistu does not treat pelvic floor problems in men or children.

Physiotherapist Liina-Mari Roolaht obtained a Master's degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Tartu in 2021 and has participated in numerous professional continuing education courses. Liina-Mari Roolaht works full-time at Medita Clinic.

Physiotherapist Roolaht specializes in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and the treatment of urology and gynecology patients (including pelvic floor physiotherapy and physiotherapy related to pregnancy). Liina-Mari Roolaht does not provide physiotherapy services for babies or young children.

Physiotherapist Panainti Posmatš completed a Master's degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Tartu in 2022 and has further developed her expertise through various professional training courses in Estonia and abroad. Panainti Posmatš works full-time at Medita Clinic and also provides diabetes nurse services.

Physiotherapist Posmatš specializes in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and the rehabilitation of patients with internal medicine conditions.

Physiotherapist Arabella Kiting graduated from the Tartu Health Care College with a degree in Physiotherapy in 2021 and also works as a personal trainer.

In her practice, Physiotherapist Kiting specializes in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. She does not provide pelvic floor physiotherapy services.

Physiotherapist Gregor Pruunsild completed his Master’s studies in Physiotherapy at the University of Tartu in 2022 and also works as a lecturer at Tartu Health Care College.

Physiotherapist Pruunsild specializes in postoperative physiotherapy. Patients of all ages and with a wide range of physiotherapy-related conditions are welcome to attend his appointments, including those seeking assistance with fractures, tendon ruptures, and health concerns related to joint replacement surgery.

Physiotherapists in Tallinn

Physiotherapist Darja Izjumova graduated from the University of Tartu with a degree in Physiotherapy in 2022 and has continued her professional development through various specialized courses.

Her goal is to help people resolve their health concerns as quickly and effectively as possible, thereby improving their quality of life.

Physiotherapist Izjumova welcomes patients who require assistance with:

  • Musculoskeletal disorders
  • Preoperative and postoperative rehabilitation following scheduled or emergency surgeries
  • Recovery after sports injuries
  • Balance disorders and vestibular hypofunction
  • Postpartum rehabilitation (including pelvic floor dysfunction and diastasis recti)
  • Neurological physiotherapy

Physiotherapist Izjumova also provides kinesiology taping services.

Physiotherapist Kristina Pähkel graduated from the University of Tartu with a degree in Physiotherapy in 2004 and has furthered her knowledge through numerous professional training courses.

Physiotherapist Pähkel welcomes adult patients with musculoskeletal conditions.

She does not treat children and does not provide care for patients with pelvic floor dysfunction.

Physiotherapist Marit-Jenna Vorho completed her Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy at Tartu Health Care College in 2023 and obtained a Master's degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Tartu in 2025. In addition, she provides lymphatic therapy services at Medita Clinic.

As a physiotherapist and lymphatic therapist, Marit-Jenna Vorho welcomes patients aged 16 years and older with:

  • Musculoskeletal conditions (such as osteoarthritis, epicondylopathy, etc.)
  • Preoperative and postoperative rehabilitation needs following scheduled or emergency surgeries
  • Post-traumatic conditions
  • Reduced respiratory function
  • Pelvic floor dysfunction
  • Edema-related conditions (including postoperative, post-treatment, post-traumatic, and chronic swelling)

Physiotherapist Vorho also provides kinesiology taping services.

Physiotherapist Vorho does not treat children or patients with neurological, cardiological, or chronic low back pain conditions.

Lymphatic therapy

For the provision of physiotherapy services, Medita Clinic has a treatment financing contract with the Health Insurance Fund (Tervisekassa). In order to book a physiotherapy appointment paid for by the Health Insurance Fund, a referral from the family physician is required.

The price of a physiotherapy service at Medita Beauty Clinic is 60 €/1 hour.
